Evelyn and Charles
Both Evelyn and Charles enjoy teaching the joy and passion of
Tango dancing, and both have performed Argentine Tango dancing
for various groups.
Their most recent performance was at the University of
Pennsylvania's Annenberg Center in Philadelphia.
Evelyn Severino
Evelyn spent her formative years dancing to the music of South
Philadelphia and Dick Clark's American Bandstand. Having
innate dancing skills, Evelyn has danced everything from
Swing, Latin, Ballroom and Hustle. Evelyn's introduction to
Argentine Tango dancing came from the movie "Valentino" which
starred Anthony Dexter playing the role of Rudolph Valentino.
Evelyn admits to seeing this movie more then twelve times. She
has studied Argentine Tango with Fernando Galera, Vilma Vega,
Poncho Martinez Pez and Gabriela Amalfitani in Buenos Aires.
Charles Costello
Charles grew up dancing to the music of the 1950's in Atlantic
City. As a ballroom dancer, he was inspired by the movie
"Scent of a Woman" to learn and dance Argentine Tango. Mr.
Costello has studied with some prominent Argentine Tango
teachers from Buenos Aires including: Fabian Salas, Osvaldo
Zotto, Facundo Posadas, Daniel Barcia, Miguel Angel Zotto,
Guillermo Merlo and other world renouned Masters of Tango. |
